Who is eligible?

Why should I choose Triad Legal Funding?
We fund to you on a conservative level so that you will still receive the majority of you settlement when it comes through. Unlike traditional loans we do not make you personally guarantee the amount funded and if you lose your case you won't have to pay us back. Is the application process long like a mortgage or personal loan?
Our application process is much faster than any traditional loan funding. It takes up a maximum of 72 hours to evaluate your case and after that you can have your money in a matter of minutes or hours.
Does it work like a normal loan?
Lawsuit funding is not like a traditional loan because if you receive money from us and you do not win your case, you owe us nothing. This type of funding can help you and your attorney get through the period where cash is unavailble and keep you from settling for less than you deserve.
Will I have to pay any fees to get started?
There are no out of pocket upfront fees involved in the process. There is an application fee and processing fee for your case but these are minimal and do not have to be paid if and when you reach a settlement on your case. If you do not reach a settlement you will not have to pay us back anything at all.
How long does it take to receive litigation funding?
It is a very quick process and typically takes between 24 and 72 hours to underwrite and decide if and how much we can fund you for your case. Once we decide we can overnight you a check, wire you the money, or you can come to our office and cash the check at the bank in our building.
Can I discuss my funding with my lawyer?
Yes. In fact we encourage you to consult your attorney, and we will not be able to grant you any funding if your attorney does not agree to the funding.
Is lawsuit funding legal in Texas?
Yes. Regulators recognize the need for this type of financing and the industry is quickly becoming more and more well known. We help to provide a legitimate service to help our clients get through the long, drawn out, and hard time that is waiting on a settlement through the U.S. court system.
Will there be monthly usage fees related to the value of the funding?
Due to the risk that we take if you don't win or settle your case we use a multiple of the original funded amount to be repaid for providing you the upfront cash. The amount to be repaid depends upon the initial amount funded and the risk associated with the transaction. We offer reasonable repayment amounts for the amount of risk we take and if you lose your case you will never have to pay us back.
How much funding can I get?
We typically fund between $250 and $10,000 depending on your case, and the final value of the funding is determined by what we think you final settlement will be.
Will you pull my credit?
No. Your credit will not affect how much your funding will be or what the fees will be. We base these things on the case only.
How do I repay the amount funded?
If we fund your case you will never have to pay us anything out of pocket. We will take our claim amount from the court, defendant, or insurance company that is on the other side of the settlement. This amount will only be paid if and when you receive a settlement on your case, and we regularly only fund amounts that are very low compared to the total settlement so that you will get as much money as possible from you case. Again if you never receive a settlement you never pay us anything back.
Will you be involved in my case after you fund my case?
No. We never get involved in the actual litigation of your case. Our involvement is simply to give you the money you need to get through the tough times and help you pay your expenses until you receive you final settlement.
Will you provided extra cash if I don't think it is enough?
Typically we can give you more money as long as we do not exceed the estimated value of your settlement. The multiple to be repaid may increase as we are taking greater risk in advancing more money, but if you don't settle you will not have to pay any of them back.
